September is looking to be a busy and exciting month with the launch of my new Forest Tableware ranges. I will be showing them for the first time alongside a fantastic group of makers with Design Nation at Decorex International, Stand F17, 20-23.09.15. The ranges feature two signature prints from the handmade studio, Wood Anemone and Woodcut and encompass dinner and side plates, large serving bowls, mugs, tea cups and saucers. The monochromatic prints can be mixed together or used separately and are made of fine British Bone China and British Creamware.
I create interior installations of wall plates for commissions and exhibition projects.
This body of work was created in response to Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing, the former residence of Sir John Soane, for the exhibition Portraits in the Making which was a Crafts Council Hothouse project.
Large screen printed dishes featuring fleeting shadows captured in the stretched surfaces, available to commission
I developed these wall bowls during my time at the Royal College of Art and have since made many variations for interior commissions. Screen printed clay images are formed and hung in the moulded oval frame.
I'll be showing new work at Handmade in Kew this October.
Ornamental Walk is an installation of ceramic pieces describing place, experience, and material making. The viewer to moves along groups of work - screen printed plates and bowls - which describe a place in detail and the cycles of nature encountered.
